Netflix has announced that both seasons one and two of the Halo TV series will be coming to the streaming platform in the United States and other international territories from October 1st. Netflix first picked up the series early this year, though only season one was available in most territories.
The TV series is a loose adaptation of the popular Xbox first-person shooter series following Spartan supersoldier Master Chief in a galaxy-spanning war against the Covenant. The response from fans of the video games was largely lukewarm, with many criticizing the adaptation’s more character-driven focus. One consistent criticism is the early unmasking of its protagonist Master Chief.
The series ran for 17 episodes across two seasons before being cancelled in June 2024.
