In this week, Nintendo continued to dominate both hardware and software sales.
Eight of the ten best-selling games in Japan were Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 titles.
Unsurprisingly, Pokémon Pokopia was the top selling game of the week. Despite a significant dropoff in sales volume, it still managed to sell more than 2.5 times the number of units of the game in second place.
Speaking of second place, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection takes the spot. The latest retro Mega Man collection sold 18,238 units in its debut week.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder found its second wind with the release of an upgrade that brings compatibility for Nintendo Switch 2 and a new multiplayer mode, Meetup in Bellabel Park.
Nioh 3 and the PlayStation 5 version of Winning Post 10 were the only non-Nintendo versions of titles on the chart; the latter title was also outsold by its Nintendo Switch edition.
Hardware sales were also dominated by Japanese devices, with the Switch 2 easily topping the list (65,725 units sold). The PS5 Digital Edition takes second place with 11,941 units sold.
The OG Switch is still going strong. The Switch OLED managed to move an impressive 8,772 units.
